Not much in the way of NEW awesome discoveries, the exception being The Shape of Water, which was awesome, but definitely less extraordinary than I was hoping for, as I connected to it intellectually and aesthetically as opposed to EMOTIONALLY, which is what I was hoping. Oh well. Happy New Years, fuckas.

Not bad month. IT was better than expected, especially considering the surrounding hype. Saw some good movies featuring landmines on Amazon PRIME. Saw a really shit compilation movie, XX, which takes a dump on women filmmakers by being so loudly "by women", and being unremarkable. Definitely shout from the rooftops that Wonder Woman was directed by a woman, but when a film sucks shit, as is the case with XX, I'd take the feminist advertising down a notch.
