Director: Konstantinos Sampanis

Writer: Drew Clapp

Starring: Stacey Fontaine, Jimmy McCarthy, Stephen Nelson, Corey Rieger, LeVance Tarver, Patricia A. Williams.

Brief Summary: Vince's best friend, Danny, is beaten to death by members of a Nazi skinhead gang. To bring justice to Danny's mother, Vince goes undergoes a new look as a fellow skinhead. Vince tracks down those responsible for his friends' death, but his due vigilance will cost him at the end.

Why this movie needs to be watched:

An underlying theme throughout Six Feet Deep is racism and its' impact on people. But in this story, one act of violence lead to more acts of violence and death. And the search for justice is finally found, but with a high cost. Sometimes we're questioning, in regards to the protagonist who found justice, if it was worth it. Was it justice they sought? Or revenge?

Six Feet Deep is a pretty intense short film, with the main character, Vince (Corey Rieger), undergoing a sort of complete transformation of self in order to find those who killed his best friend Danny. Just a simple haircut and shave turned him into a completely different character. Not to mention his drinking habits must have increased (a bit of contrast to his recreational hobbies we see at the beginning of the film).

The corrupt cop, Connolly (Jimmy McCarthy), and skinhead, O'Callahan (Stephen Nelson) were pretty intense characters as well. They brought a menacing presence to the story that balanced out Rieger's vigilantism. But however you interpret the ending, Vince got what he ultimately wanted.
