WitchTown 2017  is a No-Budget film, so you're not going to see a roaring Lion or Pegasus greeting you before the film; the campaign had made under $1,000.00 before having the creators put up the rest of the funds out of pocket to handle the balance of the films expenses.

The film was entirely shot in Toledo, Ohio

WitchTown starts off when Kidnap Victim (Jennifer Mowery) is arriving home when she is attacked and kidnapped by some Goons ( lower level Demons).

Mr. Law (Robert Carrillo) is an investigator who, also stars on a paranormal television show, is trying to solve the mysterious disappearances that have been happening locally (and throughout the country) and is close on the trail of our two ancient demon summoners.
Patches (Stephen Biggin) and The Professor (Joshua Kenczewicz) are two partners who over many centuries have yet to be successful in performing a ritual from a mysterious set of texts. Unfortunately, things do not go at all as planned and a wild and crazy ride, full of laughs begins as we see what trials and tribulations these two have. Will these two be successful on their quest? Or will they be damned to an eternity in limbo?

WitchTown 2017 is  a great watch.

I enjoyed the storyline and never knew exactly where the plot was going to take me.
The level of sarcasm in the dialogue made for some great laughs and blended well with the humor, mysticism and general feel of the film. The soundtrack provided by The Duders, Jason Mikolajewski and Joshua “The James” is pretty kickass and also helps with the tone of the film.

My journey to "WITCHTOWN"...

A  few years ago I was watching the Ellen show with my girlfriend, and Ellen had a segment about Kickstarter (now to be honest I had never heard of Kickstarter or the whole crowdfunding platform thing at all at least not at that specific point in time). So I naturally kept it in my memory in the back of my mind. You know? The area for useless facts and information. Now, jump forward many months later and I get this wild idea to check it out. I admit it took me awhile to navigate the site as I had no idea what I was doing.
Fortunately I came across a section for films. Now the cool thing about being a part of a campaign on Kickstarter is that you have the opportunity to interact with the campaign managers, and to ask questions and receive real time updates on the project. I, personally, mainly back Horror films but have been known to back horror related comics. I am always interested in finding unique horror themed projects.

And then there are the perks.

Now the perks can be pretty awesome , and are normally in a small to large price range, where you can grab some campaign exclusive merchandise, autographed merchandise, meet and greet, film role , IMDB credits, ect...
Which brought me to Witchtown 2018
The first actual campaign/film that I can say I have had the pleasure to back. This was my first of many gifts to myself on the road to my 40th Birthday, and at the same time I got to contribute to an Indie horror film, and help someone live out their dream.
If I could compare WitchTown 2017 to any other film it would be tough;  I would have to say it has Elements of “The Evil Dead” 1981; classic crime noir and the sarcasm reminds me of “Clown House” 1989.
If you are interested in seeing something out of the ordinary, definitely give  WitchTown 2017 a viewing💀💀
