My 40th Birthday was approaching so I decided I was going to do something different for myself. I decided to help out different horror themed projects. One of which is The Barn 2016.

I immediately found an interest in this film as Justin Seaman (the Writer, Director, Editor, of the film) is a big horror fan. When I read on his campaign that he started being a horror fan at an early age that was pretty cool. So you already know that this film is going to have some strong '80's love in it.

I stumbled across The Barn 2016 horror film by accident in all honesty. For the last 3 years I have been actively helping different horror campaigns on both Indiegogo and Kickstarter crowdfunding platforms. I have always wanted to be involved with, or help out with, a film--not just any film, but horror films.

If you enjoy watching 1980s horror, when watching The Barn with the lights out you should immediately start to get that feel of an 80s film. I personally like the way they made films in those days, I and it is always a treat when a film can capture that 80s feel, and The Barn does exactly that. Nevermore Pictures is a name in motion pictures to keep an eye out for there work.

The Barn starts off with Sam and Josh pulling a Halloween prank on the rickety old Ms.Barnhart (Linnea Quigley) who plays her role as that one neighbor you just can’t wait to see get there’s, perfectly.

Later Sam and Josh meet up with the rest of there friends, Michelle, Chris, Nikki, and Russell to go to a concert miles away.

On the way there they stop at The Barn and foolishly unlock the evil trapped inside The Barn. Unleashing the bloodlust of The Boogeyman, Hallowed Jack, and The Candy Corn Scarecrow upon themselves and the unsuspecting and unprepared town.

I enjoyed the 3 supernatural tormentors, my personal favorite is Hallowed Jack , each horror fan is going to have there own personal fave, also each of the 3 Halloween Evils has there own fun kills, and the team at Nevermore did a really nice job on the special f/x you will not find a movie full of cgi here.

For you long time horror hounds, you’ll easily recognize Linnea Quigley (Night Of The Demons, 1988, Hollywood ChainsawHookers, 1988, Return Of The Living Dead, 1985) and Ari Lehman (as the first Jason Voorhees, the child Jason in Friday The 13th 1 & 2). They are both in minor roles , but the time they are on screen adds to the fun of the film.
The way the film ends who knows , there just possibly be room for a sequel, if there it is it’s bound to be bad ass.

In the meantime I’ll be watching my copy of The Barn on my limited edition VHS every Halloween.
